Oh, Sandrine... She was not expecting to be in second after the Short, and her nerves just took over today. This is a beautiful program, a gorgeous skater, but not meant to be today. Love her hair ribbons, and I am crossing my fingers for her to do so much better with this Free next time.

It was never in doubt who would win this event, was it? The 3A was definitely not fully rotated, but she stood up on her first attempt in competition, and that's an achievement in itself. Love all of the matching hair ribbons that have become popular recently.

I'd give two spots to Victoria....
I wouldn't give a spot to Ksenia since she doesn't have a 3loop nor a 3-3
I would maybe wait a bit but Camila did well enough and she could use the experience though I wouldn't have thought she'd get a spot before this event ... or even be in my head for a spot...

I think we have to wait unless Skate Canada decides to send the younger skaters like Hannah and Uxia which i would approve of.

Surely Ksenia’s earned a spot not just by medalling here, but with her junior national silver… and a 3-3 isn’t so important with the axel sequence rule in the free

I’m not sure what to think of Lia’s program.

But, I do love the 3A attempt. Also, the backloaded 3S 3T was sublime.

it is part of the requirements from Skate Canada if i am not mistaken

The JGP selection requirements do have a 3-2 for 3 years or more eligibility. 2 years or less is 3-3 required. So possible, but they may favour someone who is going for a 3-3 for a JGP.

The Crown Soundtrack

The twizzles were a highlight again. They are a really new team, but very well-matched. If they stay together, they'll look like a completely different team by this time next year.

Annabelle Théroux / Rafael Gossard - 65.76 / 105.81
Carnival of the Animals: Aquarium, The Swan, Introduction and Royal March

Wow, this was beautiful. Much, much better than their RD. Some mistakes, yes, but that didn't take away from the overall vision of the program. These two are tall and long-limbed, classical programs allow them to show off their lines wonderfully.

Emilie Proulx / Corentin Cinçon-Debout - 66.36 / 108.81
Wonka Soundtrack

Some interesting choreographic moments here, and a very age-appropriate program choice. It's cute, they are cute, and her dress looks like strawberry chocolate.

Victoria Carandiuc / Andrei Carandiuc - 77.43 / 122.06
The Mask of Zorro Soundtrack

Okay, love this. Love her skirt, love the intensity and drama of this performance, love The Mask of Zorro (Olivia and Adrian's Zorro FD is still one of the greatest Ice Dance programs to me). Superb choice for these two, and this program looks much more polished than their RD (not surprising, teams usually get their new FD first),
