Yay!! Marie-Maude really fought (like she always does)
The 3F 😧😩
Canada needs to create a flip boot camp for our women!!

Edit: Into first place
106,65 …. 161.71 so close 😖

OK. Lighting candles for Justine!
🕯️ 🕯️ 🔥 🔥
SMD is lonely and needs another Quebec compatriot to keep her company in the Challenger circuit this season!!

🫣 Justine popped her way out of consideration…. 😭

I had high hopes after she masterfully landed the 3F 2A 1A

Well…. Julianne went for it. I didn’t think she would even go for the 2A 3T combo. This performance was better than Justine’s. The pops may make a difference. I think Marie-Maude should take it? 🤔

Well. At least it was an exciting competition.

What is next?
Is it the domestic event over in AB?

And in Senior Dance, Gauthier/Thieren won with 170.83 and Fournier/Zhu in second with 166.46. Gauthier/Thieren already have an assignment, I hope Fournier/Zhu get one since they did get 4CC minimums at Lake Placid and are meeting the benchmark 🤞

It's Alberta next weekend. Breken withdrew from it :( Lia is competing in it though and Junior Men has some skaters from Ontario in it. There's enough going on with Nebelhorn and Nepela on the same weekend for me, I need to ready myself for Sara-Maude possible 3A attempt in international competition🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️

OMG!! I just looked at the challenger events. I always thought they only did one event, at a time. Two challenger events on the same weekend, a JGP event and AB to watch is going to be exhausting. But, lovely to see all our Canadians at these events.

I will be lighting candles to for both SMD and Lia Cho.
Wouldn’t it be amazing and historic to witness two 3A’s from these two?

Nebelhorn was moved because the ISU did not want any competitions on at the same time as the Olympic qualifier.

Also I wish I'd watched Junior Dance, Briere/Levesque got a 2 point deduction for an illegal element. I want to know what it is now.
Okay, I watched it and I think it was the jump Julien did near the end after the choreo twizzles, it looked more than one revolution and that would be an illegal element in ice dance.
