Absolutely. Her extension is unbelievable and she can maintain soft lyrical phrasing perfectly. I've seen that comparison more than once.

There is also Tikhonova, who reminds one of Kamila technically, a lot in fact, though not emotionally like Dasha.

I think there would be some. But remember last year she did not deliver combo at all in her test skates SP.

I hate to do it but have to agree. It makes me so uncomfortable to see Adeliia fall on a triple... Olys are 4,5 month from now. Manifesting a speedy FULL recovery for Adeliia. Otherwise, they will bury her alive.

Anna started her Oly season from the injury as well, without any quad, with falls, had to switch to a new SP half way through.
Adelia will be fine by February if she manage to avoid serious injuries this season.

But the pressure is completely different. The country had 3 chances and it was impossible for all 3 to lose. She also dealt with injury before and didnt have favourite pressure on her. She also had established precedent for PCS and enormous international experience.

Adeliia is struggling with this for the first time, in basically her first international season, with zero precedent, low PCS, the entire country on her shoulders, a convoluted AIN system, and with an enormous favourite pressure. When Anna skated, Russia didn't have a chip on their shoulder because everyone knew they were beating everyone. Now they've been gone for forever and the tension was huge, everyone downtalking them and Russia acting like they would sweep internationals with their 5th best skater. If Adeliia fails, people will hold it over Russians forever.

Some interesting programs so far, great to see Mura looking happier, Anna looking strong as usual shame there aren't more men.

I love how Russia has so many ex skaters, they all get a turn in presenting, we now have Trankov instead of Alexei for the pairs.

Time for Eteri and her preparing methods. remember how Alina was "written off" before (and during) 2018-19 season. "Nono, do not send Alina, she will lose three spots for Russia"... Won worlds with still still not overcome.
Than Anna before Olympics, broken toe, not a good form at the start, hardly able to do a quad, troubles with triples, defeated by Maiia Khromykh at her first competition.
Compared to that, I even think Adeliia's starting position is not bad at all.

And I have to mention one thing: very often the bad skate at test skates means good season a vice versa.

Really? Do you remember that interview after RusNats, where Anna was asked if she thinks that it's fair that she gets the third spot to Oly instead of Tuktik?

Do you remember how Anna and Sasha were dumped away from the team event?
Do you remember the boot that broke after that?

I mean I'll give Anna the boot issue but its still not the same at all. Its literally not even close. I am guessing you are a hardcore Anna fan though which is fine. I'm bias towards Adeliia too.
