I'm so happy Deniss skipped the quad in the short. That being said, skipping the combo was so strange, he could've done a 2T, and why are we having messy spins? You're one of the best spinners in the world, Deniss, I don't want to see a terrible camel position or constant travelling. I like this program, there are some wow moments in the step sequence, but I want to see it skated cleanly. I have to wonder how going coachless has affected him, along with the lack of funding and drama with the Latvian Federation.

WE HAVE A JAPANESE MAN WHO LIVES!!!!!!!!!!! This program works really well for Sota, you can see the quality he has in his movements. Overall, everything was so neatly done, from the jumps to the spins, and you can see the comfort and connection he has with this music. This will be a good score for him and a huge boost for his Olympic team chances as long as he doesn't implode in the free skate.

oh ffs GET YOU LEVELS BOYS Sota why are we doing a level 2 steps? If you got level 4s you'd be ahead of Daniel right now!
