2025 Cup of China Men's Short Program

This was perfect from Yamamoto, we should have a change of the leader now despite a little easier tech content than that of Grassl I think.

I was wrong, call it the recency bias :P 2nd though, not far off

ANOTHER JAPANESE MAN LIVES!!!!!!!! Such a good skate from Shun, the jumps were gorgeous and so effortless-looking. This is another amazing program, you can see how comfortable Shun is with the choreography and it shows a lot of the musical sensitivity he has developed over the past few years. That being said, please work on your spins, if there's one thing keeping Shun from breaking 100, it's his spin levels and GOEs. Top skaters can get 12-13 points from spins alone in the short, that has a huge impact on the score.

I really like this program for Mikhail. The jumps looked as easy as always, and I enjoy getting to see his personality on the ice. The entry into the 4T is a real wow moment. I think his costume could definitely be better, I'd love to see him in something that looks a little more "expensive". He's definitely working on the spins and skating skills; they're still under construction but getting better. Yet again, though, it is those items that are holding him back from breaking 100 (along with the under on the lutz of course).
