Some lifts didn't look effortless and there were other issues but I am impressed by their comeback so far. How are they gonna determine who goes for the Olympics? China sadly has just one spot. I think Sui/Han were good but the score is generous

Oh we got the beginnings of a slight smile...

it took 130 points to get that smile out of him. and considering they get almost nothing on SBS jumps... that's a good score

To be honest that was better than I thought it would be. Yes, they are rusty but I don't think they've actually been practicing these programs for long. I see them getting it together before the Olympics if Cong's broken body can handle it.

Average (or total?) score from here and Nationals. If they were to tie, the team (or skater, for the singles disciplines) with the highest single score would be chosen (e.g. if team 1 scores 170 and 190 and team 2 180 and 180, then team 1 would be chosen).

I'm a bit tired of this music but I think it will play well at their home Olympics. If they can clean up the jumps they could get on the podium there.
