I think the boot troubles and music issues and unable to get settled with her programs is just wearing on her. Just hang in there - this will pass.

Lutz seemed barely fully rotated. Its a decent skate, no real mistakes but she looks slow and her choreography is episodic, not characteristic for someone of her level. Hate to say it but, clearly not on Alyssa's level. Could scrape by a top 3 finish anyways. I don't expect a q on the Lutz and she should beat Jia on PCS handedly.

I personally think people overuse the term "cultural appropriation" because I have lived in many places around the world and people are generally flattered rather than upset when you show an interest in their culture, fashion, and music. However, I will say this program does not seem to have been well researched. Anway, I like Gubanova. She's always been a pleasant skater to watch. Good job. I would think the lutz was ur, but if the panel is consistent they won't call it.

Gubanova is quite a good competitor. She is so determined, not the best in any category - she maximizes what she can do and has a pleasant program and personality.

Great skate. The stability of her 3A gives me Tuktamysheva vibes. But unfortunaty she has this nasty habit of messing up at least one jump afterwards. Should score high but not lead, methinks?
