I am happy they didn't go the Marcotte route. That was a smart move by Josée. Julie has done wonderful programs for Max and Deanna, that's not my issue... but sometimes, having another choreographer, especially a great one for pairs, allows for improvement. I think they are presenting better this year and their programs are way better than last year... and we are still early in the season.
With both GPs almost behind them, they will be able to focus on fine tuning things until the next big event.

Congrats to another great SP from this team at Skate Canada! It's such a Olympic program and fits her intensity so well. Honestly Deanna is my idol, I want to be like her when I'm older, just so dedicated to what she loves. I hope she never retires.

I wish I'd been more like her when I was younger . I still haven't "retired" from pairs skating, but I never reached her level competitively. Maybe in my next life .

Deanna and Max were the best overall at Skate Canada and I'm so happy for them!! "That damn Sal" after they got off the ice had me cracking up. Great job to them.

BTW I have something special planned for them...I'm thinking about collecting messages for Deanna and Max for the Olympics. I just want to let them know how loved and supported they are. The messages would be delivered digitally; personally would be nicer but I think after Nationals is better timing-wise. If any of you would like to participate, I'd put the link to the Google Form in here as soon as I have it ready...most likely by December 1st.

Deanna and Max won Warsaw Cup! Unfortunately the jumps were not jumping for Deanna at all, but since she was a bit sick, I think they're okay with how it went. The fall on the combo looked weird, but at least she knows why it happened.

Next up is the final! I hope Deanna gets back to full health in time and that they have a good preparation going into it. The final will be like a mini Olympics in a way because all the top contenders for the medals will be there. Exciting!

I have changed the deadline, it's now a bit later than I originally planned. Can't put it back further though because I'll need time to put together the PDF and I want them to have enough time to read everything.

Also I know the deadline is still more than a month away but I felt like it could use a little reminder since the participation so far is going slow. I hope it gets better closer to the event.

Anyway, I'd be happy if a few of you would contribute - and I'm sure they'll be happy too
