2025 Skate Canada Women's Free Skate

Again, ruining another amazing Ennio Morricone song with vocals. I don't mind it as much with a male vocalist like Andrea bocelli, but I do not like the soprano cover at all. Cinema Paradiso is my favorite movie ever and just a few bars of the instrumental version of the soundtrack break my heart every time.

We finally have a clean skate! Isabeau is going with a lower BV here, but the jumps she chooses to do are much more aesthetically pleasing. She has taken out a lutz, which is her worst jump, and replaced it with a second loop. Her second-half jumps were a little more muscled than in France, but everything else was beautifully done, it's hard to find things to critique with her skating. A few squeaked-out landings will leave the door open for Mone, but she does well to hide a lot of her q's, good on the tech panel for picking those up.

Man, Levito is so beautiful to watch. Yes, she's not up to the level of the Japanese when it comes to skating skills, but her choreography is some of the best out there, her posture is exquisite, her shoulders and back are just about perfect, and she has such a beautiful presence and facial features when she skates.

I used to be a major critic when it came to her skating due to her sketchy jump technique, but her elegance and the last two years of top notch short programs have won me over.

Isabeau is such a determined skater wrapped in a beautiful package. Love how calm and poised she is. Love her flow. Certain jumps still look a bit labored, but you can see that she put in a lot of work to fix them as best as she can. I am rooting for her to make the US team.
