I felt like they skated beautifully in the free dance especially but got hosed in their scores. The judging all around seemed tough in this competition. This will just motivate them to work even harder. I’m not sure where we will see them next as they only had one Grand Prix assignment.

They have a bye to Nationals I think so we will see them and their marvelous programs there. The field will be tough; they are up against Chock/Bates, worthy opponents so great experience! The US is indeed fortunate to have promising ice dancers coming up in junior ranks with N/M leading the way.

EDT to add: A bit of negativity surrounding their marriage at such a young age. They are 20 and 22 respectively this year; they seem happy and content, the wedding was simple but exquisite and seemed joyful - certainly not rushed - so imv a tempest in a teapot. In a world other than skating they likely would have done it anyway. Upon (personal) reflection, I recalled that, in my own family, both sets of grandparents and great grandparents married in their teens staying happily together their entire lives, having families young, living together into their later years; my parents married later but did not stay together (tho they raised us together!) so much for the generational view.
