Starr has been around it seems like for a while in singles. Maybe it is just mean. AT one point she seemed to be part of the future of women's skating but she never really made the top level and in past years has "regressed" and that potential seemed gone or lost. I am happy for her if she is going to make a run at pairs thoguh sometimes I feel it is more of a second choice but a lot of ladies especially do it because they can't land enough big jumps to be honest. But pairs isn't easy. Besides synchronization a big thing is lifts, throw jumps, pair spins, twists and death spirals are very very different skills. Plus you need to be able to blend and interpret with another arist on ice. Nt easy. The only thing easy is that in the uS pair skaters switch partners all the time so there may be opportunities.
