I don't have to, not for SKAM. We all know what it has always been, I am just surprised that people are surprised. (And you are using SKAM judges as proof???? )

I'm a Rinka fan and I pretty much expected this she has to be jumping to the very best of her abilities to have a chance to win here (and hope for mistakes from Alysa but that's not gonna happen) but I think she did well to consolidate her layout and advance her bid for the Olympic spot despite the unders. If she makes it to GPF that will be interesting.

To be honest, I probably prefer Rinka to Alysa personally as well. Specifically, I like that she loves insects and is a great poker player . But, yes, the calls are real and consistently given by almost every panel and her PCS weaknesses are there. I think Rinka is smart to include 2 3As and to go all out in her content. Her axels are a lot better than her lutzes or other combos which are almost never fully rotated. She needs the BV to medal. I want Rinka in the GPF, but I also kind of hope that Sofia or Loena make it. US vs Japan in the GPF is a bit boring imho.

Alysa is by far my favorite American skater in terms of personality and Rinka is her Japanese counterpart They both have a severe case of conscious IDGAFism and I love that for them.

It sounded like Ben Agosto to me, but I didn't see him so I don't know for sure.

I saw Ben by the boards when a few of the skaters were taking bows.

I think Samodelkina still has far too many problems with her back and spins to make it in Finland with the field full of completeky healthy skaters. She is a joy to watch, however, and she glows so happily, that I think Samodelkina skating 2 GP events is already a gift.

Does she have a visa yet? I thought the invitation to Finlandia had been given but she was still waiting on her visa.

Sofia has some weaknesses that reduce her overall scoring potential right now. But, I enjoy her programs even if they are empty in parts. She can medal if others make mistakes.

I wonder if Gubanova thinks the scoring was unfair, since she beat Rinka in the free skate, too.

Her skills are still in tact just not at the level to continue and win medals in US skating but nationals will be very interesting this year. Best that she is carrying over those skills to pairs where she will hopefully be able to jump, spin and display her skating skills. It's the throws and lifts that she has to become familiar with and master. I think this is a great move for her and skating.

I agree! Can’t wait to find out who her partner is. Timmy Chapman and Mark Sadusky need partners for sure.

Hmm... compared to most commentators Ted barely says anything.. in fact, for several of the programs he hasn't said a single word...
