2025-26 Grand Prix Final Women's Free Skate

You can't learn how to win from this position until you find yourself in it. She will learn from this - it needed to happen. Better here than at Nationals. Mone will be fine and will likely be on that team.

Insane results! So many different scenarios could have played out had it not been for 1 mistake. Amber and Kaori both had an opportunity to win this the way it all shook out. Alysa is such a freak; I love her!

I'm satisfied with the top 2. However, a scoring system that places an athlete who performed three triple axels across two programs behind someone with two popped jumps (one of which was on a mandatory jump in the short program) is a rather flawed one (and even has that athlete winning the LP overall). It'd be fine if Sakamoto were doing exceptional programs, but she isn't.

I mean maybe but this panel is super lenient and I didn't see most of the jumps in slowmo Stricter panels would have called more of Rinka's, Alysa's and Mone's jumps. Why focus only on Alysa?
This is an excellent question, why focus only on Mone Chiba as was seen here for months, and with wrong claims most of the time? Alysa Liu's skates are usually mines of uncalled underrotations, which this Free didn't seem to be. Hence my compliment to her. I had to do it because it's not a little thing for a skater to overcome chronic underrotations. If this compliment doesn't make you happy then I'm sorry.
