A little surprised to see Shun only doing a 3Lz here, but that definitely didn't faze him! Still a quality performance!

I'm worried about G5, Kazuki and Kao both need to podium for a shot at the Olympic team and that's a lot of pressure on them and also we have three of the most dramatic splatters ever in this group (Kao, Tatsuya, and Shunsuke). Otherwise this has been a pretty strong event so far, a few mistakes but no real disaster skates. The quality has been insane, the current FS cutoff score is a 65 which is sometimes the cutoff at Worlds and that's with notoriously stingy Japanese judging.Nationals as always a pressure cooker. Good for Shun to experience this because the big games, though. To salvage a triple out of the pop is a good move.
This one works well for me: https://live.qq.com/10012776Thanks, I am too but it is buffering a lot. A problem with the stream and not my connection, as far as I can tell.
never for Shunman.... 87??? I get the Lutz but like... no homecooking? even a little?
I agree, even with the pop I had seen him around 90.man.... 87??? I get the Lutz but like... no homecooking? even a little?

Nope. Pre-Olympic Nationals, the only one they'll cook for is their #1 contender. The bigger the score and the bigger the gap to others the better, since it gives a more confident illusion coming into Olympics (especially since I don't think Yuma will do 4CC).man.... 87??? I get the Lutz but like... no homecooking? even a little?
I agree, especially considering how Nationals this quad has been for all the men. This is probably Yuma's cleanest SP at Nationals this quad, he had falls and/or other mistakes even dating back to Nationals 2021 (pre-Beijing Nats).I'm worried about G5, Kazuki and Kao both need to podium for a shot at the Olympic team and that's a lot of pressure on them and also we have three of the most dramatic splatters ever in this group (Kao, Tatsuya, and Shunsuke). Kazuki's SP is by SLB, FS is by Misha. This program is so fun and I love that Misha, his choreographer, is here to watch it performed live.
