KMT commentating for her teams, she's happy with how Ritchie/Dunn did :) They've come far for starting in August (with Amy new to Pairs), I can see them on the JGP next season if they keep it up.

Laiu/Haubrich changed their short to the Stand By Me cover I think Kam/O'Shea used. Marty's scaring me in the lift and the death spiral, his pivot was shaking. KMT says that the death spiral was made invalid.

Shaky from Callahan/Furman, but they did get a level 4 on their lift before reviews (y) And the dog is back. Oh, fall deduction for the ending, boo! Edit: and on an element too!

Apparently the dog is there for good luck.

I just finished watching this event.

Julia & Etienne were the class of the field. I wonder how they will transition to Seniors though…. Do they have one more Junior season? I would like them to remain in Juniors for one more season so they build up their elements.

Jacob & Brianna skated the best SP for me

Ava & Stephen do the non jump events really well. However, I do worry about their jumping abilities if the best they can do is a 2Lo

Rebecca to me, is the star ⭐️ of the event. Her 2A was solid and landing that 3T was amazing!! I like that she is also skating as a Novice.

Julia will be 21 in May 2027, so one more season for her. Etienne has up to 2027-28 for eligibility. They did post what looked to be SBS 3S from practice in their stories, so I'm hoping that they can build up to that.

I agree about Rebecca Laiu - a pairs girl star in the making, but IMO she will need a different partner. Marty is having issues - jumps, death spiral and at Challenge, major issues with lifts. Fingers crossed the lifts go okay tomorrow. Perhaps Marty is a placeholder while she learns pairs elements and competes only domestically.

I also agree about Brianna and Jacob and the short. She is very strong / strong-willed as well - I was worried about her after that nasty fall at Challenge in the free but she was determined to keep going. More fingers crossed for a better / safer free than last time.

They mentioned Marty was injured while practicing a 3Tw (caught a blade), but yeah. The issues have been there for him.

I think they said they decided on Junior since she was new to Pairs. I would like to see her get JGP experience, which means a different partner.
