2026 Four Continents Championships Women's Free Skate

YUNA AOKI 4CC CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was going to retire a year ago and I'm so glad she didn't and it was a really well-deserved title as well. I'm so happy for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She had the skate of the night, no question about it!!!!

I'm not too worried about Ami and Mone, they need to skate their best at the Olympics in a few weeks and are probably starting to peak back for that event, whereas Yuna is going to be more prepared for this event because (for the moment) it's the only international event she has left.

Wow Ami, despite the 3A fall her provisional TES is still 79 - well done!! :cheer2:
This is all kudos to her keeping her focus and not let the mistake derail her, she landed everything else cleanly, 3-3 and 3-2A-2A combos included  She used to pop a lot after she messed up her 3A, glad to see she has outgrown that.

Will it be enough for the title??

Ami NAKAI (JPN) is wearing a blue dress that goes in the opposite direction to most - it starts off light at the top and then gets darker as you go down.

Who is this murdering "What A Wonderful World"?! If you are not going to use Louis Armstrong or Eva Cassidy, don't bother with this song.

Thankfully, the skating was beautiful.

Ami was the only Japanese skater I had in my predictions, in 2nd position. And that is actually where I would put her here. I preferred Yuna. They both skated great. But the version of the song spoiled Ami's programme for me.

Yep, She goes into 2nd position in both the FS and overall.

I agree with you - but some cynical part of me wondered if the non-Japanese judges want Yuna to beat Ami and Mone so much as it will make the 2 Olympians look less convincing.....

I hope I am wrong though! I love Yuna with all my heart and I'm so so glad she finally put down 2 clean skates and the huge score she deserves
