Love to see Gogolev skate so well after such early promise. But the Rachmaninoff is a sad/wrong choice of music for the footwork, especially after Mao's footwork towards the end of her redeeming LP. Does not have the same Oomph.
I actually think he did it justice. This was no Lu Chen, but it wasn't terrible. At the beginning of the season I appreciated the huge Improvement in the choreography compared to previous programs but it felt that he was just going through the motions. I've seen a big improvement, especially in the last couple months, between his performance levels where he actually had an expression on his face LOL. This is absolutely I'm moving the right direction and I have a suspicion he's going to rocket up the standings next year and that he is a clear top 10 finish threat even this year at the Olympics and worlds.

I don't think I'm ever going to love this program but so far no 4A but unbelievable jumps... and did he just triple that loop or was it planned
