Italian women have that beautiful beanies, and the men had to wear those.... headbands.

But he didn’t.I totally get why Shun was so devastated. Who wouldn't be if they get robbed of a gold medal?
I was just thinking the same thing. Breaks my heart that the last teams didn't get the honor (and fun) of an in-venue celebration.I am so thankful these teams get a proper medal ceremony to celebrate their Olympic moment the way it is intended to be cherished.
They were both total cheerleaders for their comrades. I LOVED it!Yuma and Kaori are my favourite olympic duo! Crying together, screaming together, hugging milion times, they really made this show even more special by sharing row emotion and wearing hearts on their sleeves
Shun's upset because he holds himself to an impossibly high standard. Unlike you, Shun understands the scoring system and I very much doubt he thinks he was robbed. I just hope he comes to realize how incredible his skate was. It was a PB! He would have gotten close to 200 with better spins. I expect that this summer Shun spends a lot of time practicing spins.I totally get why Shun was so devastated. Who wouldn't be if they get robbed of a gold medal?
Sato has those soft landings, great flow, Ilia crashes to the ice from a vertical drop ice flying everywhere. But Ilia get 5's and 4's on regulation jumps.
I at least thought Sato's PCS would be ahead of Ilia. There's a clumsiness about Ilia's movements.
And didn't expect Grassl to be the selfie guy
I'm going to fall asleep tonight with a smile on my face thinking Amber Glenn and Danny O'Shea are Olympic Gold Medalists!Amber with an OGM.![]()
I like Ilia, but his skating is not my taste.Keep at it, all you Ilia-haters. You'll be happy to know, you got 4 to 8 more years trying to rag on him and tear him down. Sink your teeth in the raging dislike. Come up with more creative adjectives to dis him with. See if he cares. The put-downs only make him stronger in his pursuit of excellence.
Oh, yes, it did. With that skate he should have been not second, but third, behind Gogolev. His passport didn’t matter in the short.
I agree--I think it's the best skate I've seen from Yuma. And I'm betting that he, Shun and Ilya will wind up on the Individual podium--hopefully in the order they truly belong, undermarked or undeserved PCs notwithstanding.I would have had Shun higher on his components. This score is just slightly better than his best this year and this was the best he has done by more that that. It was an inspired skate. He did deserve about a 196/198. I would have him over Ilya on components a bit. He's no Yuma but.... But.. I still think Ilya won it. I think Shun is a little better than Yuma at this point on tech but Yuma is better on the components. This single's comp is going to be intense and any of those three could get gold.
there were falls in the pairs SPShun did incredibly well under a lot of pressure and I hope he realizes that soon. He has a lot of support judging from the reactions of his compatriots so I hope that helps. A lot of the best performances came from them. Although they won the Silver, it feels better than US’s gold, in my opinion.
This was just an amazing competition all around. Only one fall between the SPs and FPs in all four disciplines.

Dude. Seriously. Why am I reminded of these?![]()
