Adam Siao Him Fa

Thanks for the update. His jumps are looking great! Fingers crossed he can produce them like this in the Olympics, and have the skates of his dreams.

The choreo sequence and final spin of his FS is also looking great, in a clip posted by Benoit recently He's made a slight alteration just before the final position, which is a little more controlled and a fraction shorter in time, maybe to avoid risk of a time violation.

So happy for Adam. The SP was magnificent, and his axis spot on! Of course I think he should have placed first, because he is my favourite skater. Hope he keeps it together and at the same level in the FS. He's in a great position for a podium place. And I do love his revised costume.

It was actually at the last Olympics that I first became aware of him. I remember there was a high level overview shot of the warm-up practice, and there was something about the way he was moving over the ice that seemed quite special, and made me watch his progress since then. At the time I was only aware of Kevin as an exciting and distinctive French skater, so wondered who this new interesting upstart from France was! He's come a long way over those 4 years.

The general opinion is that either him, or Junhwan Cha ought to have ended first (and the other, second of course).

Adam announces preparation for 2026 Worlds and commits to 4 more years. Fasten your seat belts.

That is great news! Looking forward to Worlds, and then future seasons. And looking forward even more to Adam revisiting the outdoor rink at Feldis in Switzerland, and just skating for joy! He was planning to do so, so hopefully it will happen.

The Olympics are my least favourite competition - too much hype and too much pressure especially on the top athletes. And I think many on here, like me, also find it very stressful to watch, as we feel for them going through it!

During the women's FS, just after Haein Lee had finished her skate, the camera panned to show Adam sat next to Kimmy Repond and her sister. Adam and Kimmy were laughing and looking very relaxed and happy. Lovely to see, especially as it wasn't long after Kimmy's difficult skate (understandable given she'd only recently restarted practice after injury). Good to see them moving on from their disappointing free skates, and enjoying life. All the competitors should be proud to have reached such high levels to perform at the Olympics, regardless of result. Adam did a spectacular short program which will be re-watched for years to come.

That's not what we saw. She's from South Korea. After her skate, the camera panned to another South Korean: Jun-hwan Cha who was waving a South Korea flag. Next to Jun were Yuma, Shun, and Kao Miura. Behind them were some USA skaters. After Alysa skated, the camera panned to Ilia yelling. As well the camera should have. I don't know what country you're in but that would be the weirdest thing to do - pan to a French guy after someone from South Korea skated.

I was watching Discovery + I think possibly because they were both laughing, and it wasn't that long after Kimmy's difficult skate. The commentator said who they were too, when it focused on them.

I saw it on the national Eurosport channel, but I think it might be the same feed as Discovery+, just different commentary, in the national language. Adam and Kimmy together on the screen were also warmly welcomed by our commentators so you could not miss them....

the country doesn't matter, the timeline does, did you mess with the Tardis again? should i call the Doctor?

In my feed it was right after Lee's skate. National broadcasters have their own directors and they sometimes show feed of their own athletes instead of what the games' director is showing.

I'm not drawing any conclusions. 😶

I saw it too on tnt sports. I am a bit confused what the discussion is about? The cameraman not supposed to pick up particular people in the arena?
Or the fact that Adam & Kimmy are dating? The latter has been obvious for a long time now they are not hiding it, always posting their pics together on social media.
