Thanks. So it's about the straight arm with the lifts. That's silly, but she was 21 years old. So she never even mentions the longevity issues. Things are close enough that the composition of the tech & judging panel is a serious factor in dance.

FBC will only get better and better and the gap between them and the next teams will widen as soon as Piper and Paul and Madi and Evan retire. The Italians are done already. Will Fear Gibson keep going ? No matter if they do or not, the difference between FBC and the rest of the field will be very striking.

Its possible, I suppose....but in her second am. skating carrerr I havent seen any behavior that would indicate this. I guess if she does an Ilia we will find out. Its just a gut guess, but I think she is pretty strong inside. She has been through alot in both her lives...and now people on FB are saying things about her and publishing pics that are maybe suspect.

It's a flip of the coin to me as to which will take Worlds. I will enjoy seeing "The Whale" again, not so much the bull and matador. I acknowledge C/B as strong, theatrical skaters. Glad to see another Green and Parsons fan - they so often miss out and yet they have been my fave US dance team for many years. And although I have had big respect for what C/B have produced in the last few seasons, I can't get my head around why they chose to do a Spanish dance - hardly original, is it? And compared to the rest of the field, it is singularly lacking in emotion.

According to poster on another board who knows people involved, it will open on 20th March, in time for Worlds.

I will hold my politics of course but who among us can judge her after what her family has been through during the last Olys? The fear? To some, she seems goofy. I admire the family for what they have had to live through. Of course, there is financial gain....the $200,000 donated to each member of team USA at the Olys...and Lord knows what NBC is paying her for 2 segments on the Today show this morning...but even if she doesnt do as well as expected at Worlds...in her mind....so what? She has two OGMs hanging around her neck. And I think there is a pretty good chance we will get 3 spots for next worlds. The main thing is, She is happy. She loved the mural NBC showed her someone did.

She cares about putting out a good program. And she should care about getting 3 spots. I hope she returns to training soon.

I am thinking that FBC will not make mistakes this time on top of whatever the judges may want to do or not. The ISU responded strongly saying they trust their judges. I'd be surprised if the judges went against what happened at the games if everyone skates well.

The difference between C/B, and FB/C and G/P is that Paul Poirier and Guillaume are equal partners or exceed the women in skating skills and presentation. Evan is very much in a supporting role. It works because Madison's presentation is so extraordinary and has been for several years, but it is not a partnership of equals and its about time that was recognised.

I just read that C/B have withdrawn from Worlds. However, I can't find the post again for confirmation, so we'll have to wait and for official notice. Sorry for the speculation here.

Is ‘The Skating Lesson’ the site owned by the guy who made inappropriate remarks after the plane crash? I have him blocked. I doubt C/B would give him any information.

I really dislike TSL and i´m glad that after that comment it ruined the entire reputation and the site went down the toilet. One thing though that usually was accurate was that all the gossip he came with before it was official usually had something to it, which unfortunately is the reason he used to have a lot of followers. I doubt that he has gotten it from C/B himself but he is known for having the right sources. However - it seems likely they are not going so if he placing out false rumours to try to get some attention again it´s a high chance it will be true.

There seems to be widely known in the figure skating community that there are more skaters not going. Jackie Wong said he heard directly from some skaters at Olympic that they are not going, and that we should expect more WD. Emily and Vadym accidently slipped on a TikTok live that not everybody from the US Olympic team are going to Worlds, before they corrected themselves right after and said that it´s not decided yet (I do think they know, but they just realized it´s not official). I also think Mark Hanretty knows - but also corrected himself later because he realized it´s not official yet. I think all of these clues leads to C/B not going.
