Thread 'ISU skating awards voting open'

The ISU awards voting is open. This has already been posted about in the Worlds thread, but I think it is deserving of its own thread. Also, the link given there was for the voting, but starting there I couldn't find the list of candidates.

There are only 4 categories to be voted on: costume, entertaining program, choreographer, and coach. link to list of candidates.

Let the discussion begin! My take: no nomination for Lara Naki Gutmann.

Kevin is just wonderful to watch. His skating in itself is to die for.

Kevin said his gala number was improvised which is kind of amazing cause he had one of the best performances of all.

I guess I am not as enthusiastic as Mark is about synchro 9... odd numbers don't divide well into 2 or 4 .. just saying..

there was a girl hanging out alone earlier in the number when the other two groups of 4 were doing lifts... I feel there will be a lot of that ... left out people... it will sound like grade school when people picked their teams and someone was always left out...

If they wanted to cut down number of skaters, they should have stopped at 12. It it much more divisible.

I have to say I like Piper and Paul's new exhibition skate. Choreography very fitting and because it was new to me it was one of the skates I didn't fast foward through on my Peacock replay. Oh, and the emotions for Kaori being honored at the end. No one can take the place of her post comp selfies can they? It won't be the same ever.

I was watching the gala in the arena… what a weird episode of Ilia ego massaging that was. I am still cringing. What was its purpose?

I sort of thought it was like an ISU consolation stroking for him messing up at the Olympics and then I thought, "hey Nathan did not get anything like that after Pyeongchang?! what's the deal ISU?"

I dont know....I am loosing my faith in Albert....he never explained the Andromeda paradox and what happens when you turn on the headlights of a space ship going 2/3 C.

I was just happy to see Kaori, Mone, and Yuna/Sumitada. I hope I never have to see drones, Michilen men on ice with cameras, Ashley in the K and C, and The screaming announcer.
I am also happy that NBC Rabbit ears showed some skaters i want to keep and make a DVD of. After editing out the filler.
