They probably trained to peak at the Olympics, and now have little left over for Worlds. It's why we often see a bunch at withdrawals in post Oly Worlds

Haein Lee was expressive and a joy to watch but those popped triples are gonna make her slip in the standings I think. I love the camel spin with all the changes of arm positions, perfectly matched the musical cues.

All of the skaters peaked at the Olympics, so they were in their top physical form there, and now are no longer quite in that top shape. Plus, they had the emotional high of the Olympics, so they likely felt very tired and drained after coming back. In any other season, skaters will peak at Worlds, and you'll see this fatigue at events after like WTT, but things change in an Olympic season.

Strange that Alysa didn’t want to compete here. Those who discovered her and loved her skating at the Olympics must be disappointed. Maybe they love seeing her doing other tings

Jia and Dream of Love and the white dress makes me think of wedding season.
She is so lovely that I dream she can move up substantially.

Liebestraum (Dream of Love) has never been one of my favorites, but it suits Jia right down to the ground. And that dress is perfection.

I watched Jia's skate again and found myself thinking of Michelle Kwan's 1998 Lyra Angelica. That's pretty much the highest compliment I can give because Michelle is at the top of my personal GOAT list.

Go, Jia; looking forward to many more inspiring performances from you!
