Stephen Gogolev is 6’1”. It’s quite impressive how consistent he is with these jumps, especially quads, given his height. I wonder if other Canadian skaters will begin flocking to his training base; that camp appears to know what they are doing from a technique perspective.

Mark mentioned upcoming changes in the pairs skating discipline. I’ve only really heard about changes in ice dancing, so curious if anyone can inform what he was referring to. Is it going to become even more acrobatic? Based on his comments about M/B, that appears to be the case. I was hoping for less difficulty and better execution. I got so tired of seeing team after team this season fail to execute a clean performance.

They want to introduce choreo lift in the free skate (2 leveled lifts + choreo one) and replace pair spin with choreo spin (no levels) - that's what I saw

We’re not ready to say goodbye to Kaori, but she deserves to go out on top on her own terms and see what further adventures life has to offer off the ice and on it in other capacities (coach, show skater). Enjoy life and yourself all the way, Queen!!!

The likes of Mao Shimada, Ami Nakai and Mone Chiba have large boots to fill, but Japan is in very good hands and skates.

The ISU is trying so hard to make figure skating more popular... they even create new awards and newer awards and newer newer awards
