And what was Sasha/Dima's program about? There seemed to be a topic there

It's about the non admission of Russian athletes competing. Dima has been very vocal in interviews and when covering the Olympics about his feelings about not being able to compete and how it's made him not even care about wanting to go to the Olympics anymore b/c what's the point.

I get that some of these skaters want to get a high score and are trying to use topics that could get them that but also I wished fun programs weren't getting lower scores in contrast to them :/

I enjoyed Sofia M.'s program, she is a very expressive and elegant skater

Hm... she does not move like she used to at all. Maybe still lot's of room to improve by September? The program is not saying much I'm afraid. The choreography is so weak. Nothing is happening. I hope it doesn't go into top 3 but it probably will.

Man they need to end her back to Eteri. Sorry for being negative but everything from her since Sokolovskaya has been distinctly mediocre. It's undeniable.

I don't really like when they choose topics that don't give you any choice but to give them a high score. To me, Matvei's program is completely unclear without explanation.

I don't know. I saw like one solid exhibition. Do you mean ice shows? Like the full hour-long plays? Maybe... but what was this today? And we know what happened at the Channel One Cup. By no means is this looking good. If she is good in shows why wasn't she good here? I mean they basically threw away the entire competition by giving her points for absolutely no reason. She literally didn't do anything. The choreography was non-existent. Her movement was not impressive. There was no story at all. No direction.

Yes it was obvious they gave him high scores not to offend the theme. I honestly still think the most coherent and structured performance was Sadkova's.

I really like Vanya, always with a smile, he seems such a naturally good-natured and fun-loving person

Zhulin objectively judging his own students with a 10... well his impartiality would probably be questioned anyway , so better just go for it I guess

And we know what happened at the Channel One Cup. By no means is this looking good.

I'd like to know what happened there, too. I'm sure they posted clips with that StSq long time before so this wasn't done last minute. The music choice itself were great. But choreo and costume were lacking.

I don't think it's comparable to real programs. I also remember her looking spectacular before in shows. Even up to a year ago. It's specifically these last couple months that it just looks dire.
