Would You Rather...

I'm old school when it comes to this. I'd rather read a book on paper.

WYR view photos online or in a photo album?
A photo album. The picture is better quality online, but storing pictures in a computer makes me nervous after the time I spilled a water bottle on my keyboard and drowned everything stored in it forever. Which I hadn't gotten around to back up for a week, of course.

(Does anyone know what photo paper to use in a laser printer, to make prints of old photos stored in a Mac, emailed to me by relatives who know I'm building the family tree on Ancestry?!!! I have asked Google umpteen times and get a different answer from Google Chat every time. Then I check Amazon and Staples and Best Buy etc etc etc and what they have never matches up with Google or the printer's own manual, and the manual warns of damaging it using the wrong paper! Far too techie a question for my abilities. Driving myself squirrely the last few days over this.)

(I have to read books on paper. E-readers give me instant migraines.)

WYR have your own vegetable/fruit garden (if you had the space at home or in an allotment) or buy produce in a store?

Buy produce in a store (I don't have a "green thumb")

WYR sew your own clothes or buy ready made ones?

WYR sew your own clothes or buy ready made ones?
These days, I buy ready made ones. I used to make my own, but in an apartment there isn't a safe place to lay out large pieces of cloth with pins in it when you have a cat who wants to "help". (Safe for the cat, that is 😻)

WYR socialize a lot with your work colleagues after hours or keep your home and work lives separate?

Socialize after hours

WYR stay home on a holiday weekend or travel to a destination to celebrate the holiday?

WYR stay home on a holiday weekend or travel to a destination to celebrate the holiday?
Stay home. I don't enjoy travelling at any time, so when a holiday makes it extra crowded, that would be a nightmare.

WYR cut flowers and bring them indoors to arrange and decorate, or leave the plants growing outdoors in your garden or apartment balcony?

Leave them outdoors

WYR watch holiday fireworks in person or on TV?
In person, but from indoors at a distance.

(My parents, compatible in every other way, had a running struggle over flowers. My father wanted them to stay outdoors in his garden, where he talked to them as he nurtured them like family. My mother wanted vases of flowers in the house. Every time he saw a new bouquet indoors, he'd glower suspiciously and she'd give him the innocent Bambi eyes and assure him: "The stalks broke in the rain" or "Mr McWilliams next door was pruning his and offered me some" or "I bought them at the supermarket". It was a family in-joke. To satisfy both sides, when I was planning my wedding I chose to have real flowers in the bouquets but rent artificial displays to decorate the church.)

WYR always arrive early for every appointment, or plan to be on time but are not concerned if delays happen and you arrive late?

Arrive on time (or a few minutes earlier if possible)

WYR get bumped off a flight & receive money for doing that or stay on that flight?

Not sure what that all entails, since I haven't needed to travel by plane for many years, but it sounds as if I'd rather get money 🤑?

WYR go to a public party in your neighbourhood/town/city on a big holiday, or celebrate at home?

Celebrate @ home

WYR host a barbecue or hire a caterer for a special outdoor summer party?
Hire a caterer. I even used to hire teenagers to run my kids' birthday parties somewhere away from home. Hostessing is not my thing at all, I'm afraid. 🥳:no3:

WYR buy a souvenir when you travel to another country, or just take photos?

Slide down a slope sitting on a sled

WYR shop for clothing online or in person @ a store?
Online, from brands whose sizing I know. Shopping in stores is too confusing and tiring. I end up buying the first thing that "will sort of do, I guess" just to get out of there and go home. Online I can browse in comfort for days until I make a choice.

WYR discover a long-ago infamous skeleton hanging on your family tree, or remain in happy ignorance?

Remain in happy ignorance

WYR live in a hot or cold climate?
Cold. Definitely. Absolutely. Spend hours on the ice in a rink and then go outside and it's just as cold there? Sheer bliss!

WYR be a singles skater or be half of a pair/dance couple, if you were a young beginner skater and had to choose just one discipline?

Singles skater - If I messed up on the ice, I wouldn't want it to affect my partner.

WYR keep really personal good news to yourself or share it with others?

WYR keep really personal good news to yourself or share it with others?
I tell the world, even when I know I shouldn't because I might hurt the feelings of someone less fortunate. A fault I've never been able to control.

WYR, if you have to live alone, live in a small but cosy home, or a large home with many big airy rooms?

(I've never wanted to skate synchro for your reason -- being the one who fell and cost the team marks and possibly a medal. Conversely, I prefer skating as half of a pair because I like the company and don't feel so exposed. You each have a separate job to do that often the other physically can't, like in lifts, so it could be either one who makes an error and the other can't object because he or she isn't able to do whatever it was at all anyway. If that makes any sense :console:. And I can perform to my partner, like flirting or being dramatically tragic, where I'd be embarrassed to aim that at a faceless audience as a singles skater.)
