Yuzuru Hanyu

The latest episode of Yuzuru as NTV Special Messenger has just been posted by Nippon TV with English subtitles on their YouTube channel
:thank:
Yuzuru revisited Wajima in Noto Penninsula, reconnected with the three ladies from Wajima Morning Market he had met on one of his earlier visits there, met still new survivors, and more. Very interesting and very moving episode, as always with Yuzu.
And a nice detail - you can see the survivor ladies from Wajima wearing the T-shirts from the Challenge charity show for Noto :rock:

I love how he uses his stature and high profile to keep these people and their needs current and make sure they know they are not forgotten.

This is so true!
I was raised with a seemingly old-fashioned notion that while world championships in sports are strictly about athleticism and results, Olympics is so much more than this, and being an Olympic Champion is not just about results but also about living up to being a role model and a spokesperson for peace and for those less privileged and in need of support, promoting great moral values, engaging in good deeds, charity and such. So this is what is sort of expected of OGMs where I come from. Once you win Olympics, it is not just about glory and fame, but also about an obligation going forward.
And Yuzuru is such a great model of an Olympic Champion fully living up to the role, and fully deserving the glamour that comes with the title and using it to spread good deeds and for the sake of those less privileged. I always marvel at this and respect him so so much!!!

And here's another great video with a moving message from our 2xOGM, this time recorded with his friend, a Buddhist monk and Abbot, visiting him at the Sendai rink

And here are some more1
Gorgeous photographs and a great model indeed.

This is a bit less safe-for-workplace than Sunao Noto's previous calendars... Photos keep coming:

This one is really safe for workplace, I always like his photos in what we call marinière tops, he has a special smile with them, a smoothness, I don't know how to say:

Couture on Ice too keeps sending new photos, here Sakura, then sketches of Energy and Firebird:

The publisher of the Sunao Noto calendars (to be released on December 7th, Yuzuru Hanyu's birthday), Sportiva Sueisha, posted articles this August 8th, about Yuzuru Hanyu's journey:

Here's the article:

Here's about the other article:

They posted a third article on August 9th:
