Wheeee, gotta love Mao and Ashley for their music choices!
Especially Mao I can't wait to see her free skate! That's going to be sooo aweome! And the short program sounds promising as well, I loved her FS to masquerade and I think it suited her very well so the SP will be great, too! Go Mao!
And please Ashley, will you make the team, pleeeeese?!

Since the whole piece is about 25 minutes long I hope she'll include some less known parts as well.

YES!!! I absolutely LOVE Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (even if it is a warhorse). I think this will be a great choice for Rachael along with her SP music.

Knowing Nichol and Lenore Kay, her music editor, I suspect some very refreshing edits of music!

I never tire of playing this on the piano, thanks to Groundhog Day. Sounds like an excellent choice for Rachael - she needs something passionate to make her skating pop. Lori has been doing her no favours by shoving at her Debussy, of all composers.

Still not too thrilled about Sing, Sing, Sing for her SP, though.

Thanks for the answer. Those music choices are really good, upbeat, not too common, she doesn't try to be too sophisticated or intellectual (imagine her to moonlight sonata or something like that. brrrr).

She (Olga Volojinskay) was skating with Alexandr Svinin (Khohlova-Novitsky coach) in ice dance from 1979 to 1984. At 1984 OG they was 7th.
She is professional choreographer and was made Chicago SP for Jeniffer Kirk. She work also with Todd Eldridg

VERY good choice. I think this is ideal. This music can be playful, have attitude, be gentle, soft and/or powerful. It asks to be expressed the way Raechel can.
