Kim's representatives end Orser's coaching relationship threads merged

I agree and believe there are many coaches who would jump at the opportunity to train a skater as talented as Yuna.
I am sure Morozov would love to add Yuna to his "stable." ;)

Ah, I had forgotten about Morozov. Of course he well might. He would have to terminate his relationship with Miki of course but being Morozov, of course he might do that.

But then of course, this would entail some damage to Yuna's image, thus making her less bankable, which makes this option not too desirable.

I don't think they can salvage "this" situation with money.

I just think somebody somewhere will coach her for the right price, don't mean to imply it would be a Canadian.

Wilson and Bourne are working for her as choreographers and YuNa came to Wilson before she started working with Brian. I think they can be professional about this, they probably already dealt with the initial awkwardness and will get through the current awkwardness.

I wonder who will be Yuna's coach after this?

I seriously doubt any Canadian coach will now take her on.
I kind of think that no American would be happy to relate to her.
I don't see any Russian coach saying yes.
Likewise with Japanese, though I suppose Team Yuna would not even go there in the first place.
I'm inclined to think that she'd be cold-shouldered by Europe.

So that leaves seeking out coaches in the continents of South America or Africa, or countries like India, Australia, China, Korea, as well as Middle Eastern countries.

Maybe a Chinese coach is the most realistic? But that's so unrealistic, actually!
....
If I were ATS, I would issue the most sincerest apology possible post haste and hope for mercy!

Getting a little dramatic, there.

I'm starting to hate her stupid agency (and my esteem for Yu-na herself has also dwindled, albeit slightly), but I doubt there won't be a single coach willing to take an OGM. I feel for Brian. I'm sorry Yu-na ever got into this mess. But I'm unwilling to take any side's claims with no reserve. I think there's much more to this than what's on the surface.

The best thing we figure fans can do is hope that everyone moves on and that Orser and Yu-na succeed in their own separate fields.

Anyone thought about Yu Na in turn has made Orser successful too? Orser will do just fine without Yu Na. While it might or might not be true to Yu Na without Orser in competitive career.

Was is that bad fuss when Michell left Caroll? Cause I didnt have internet then:think:
I cant think of another major split as example now.

I do remember it was a pretty big deal because they were talking about a lot during the time leading up to the Olympics. Michelle and Frank both said grateful words to each other but I can see from his expressions, that Frank was definitely sad, hurt, and confused about the breakup.

After all, Brian as coach, and Cricket Club as a seller of ice time, have a large vacant block of time for sale since Yu Na will not be there. I find it telling that Brian also stated in one of those interviews that his rates were $110 a hour, with no percentage of any of Yu Na's earning, making him, as he said, probably the most reasonably priced coach at that ultra elite level.
Compare to other top levels, Brian’s rate was not bad. Actually, Carol, a previous coach of Kwan, got $140 an hour. So, it was reasonable rate.
Yuna’s agency offered him a wage increase, but he refused it.

They shared the prize money and Oser made quite a bit of money by shooting a couple of commercial in Korea.

Yu-Na is technically as good as the best coach in figure skating.
Yu-Na does not need any coaches that will help her technically.
Yu-Na can coach Mao to fix her technical defficiency.

Yu-Na needs a coach who can help her artistic side of skating which has unlimited potential.

Two sure reasons Yu-Na came to Canada.
1. The Great Contry like the USA where freedom prevails both phisically and mentally.
2. Really loved to work with David Wilson who is her No. 1 friend.

David Wilson could be Yu-Na's PERFECT HEAD COACH.

Will David Wilson take on Yu Na after Orser was so hurt and said it publicly? Unless Wilson knows what Orser said wasn't true, I think. Is David Wilson at Cricket Club?

Update from "Flutzing Around." People were saying ATS was ridiculous to lie that Brian wasn't spending enough time with Yu-na after Worlds. Well, this gives a new perspective.

"Another source tells me that because Yu-Na was not being coached by anyone, 'When I arrived, she seemed out of shape. She would attempt triple/triple combinations, but always pop the first jump. She was also struggling, even falling, on a triple Salchow in early run-throughs of her exhibition program. She only started to get into better shape a few days before she left for Korea, luckily.'"

I don't like how this is going, but what's sure is that both sides have their fair share of lies.

(+) I also don't like all the interviews Brian's giving. What's with all the drama? Yu-na still skates at the Cricket Club. TALK TO EACH OTHER instead of dragging each other into dirt on national television. I know that Brian has been hurt, but wouldn't the best remedy be conversation?

YuNa is the 5th highest paid female athlete. She made 9.7 million last year and this was before her Olympic Gold.
She heads her own corporation now and is moving forward in a direction that she is comfortable with and IMO it is
not the traditional competitive skating world. The breakup of her association with Team Brian is probably nothing more than
business, it happens all the time in the corporate world. Was it good business, it all depends on what side of the
fence you are on. Unfortunately for Team Brian it was a harsh lesson.

In Korean Tabloid, TV and newspapers, they are all packed with Brian's EXCLUSIVE phone interview. MR . Orser! Why don't you stop talking with Korean press and start talking to a Korean girl who is training ALONE in Cricket club?

Actually hurrah's line of thought is not unrealistic. We're talking about value and principle besides figure skating techniques. Yu Na had been in muddy water before (accusing other skaters for interfering her warm-ups). She never appolosized for that incident and now this. Brian has been a very strong defender for her. We need to hear from both or either side, "Don't worry, folks. We both made this decision."

Because she and her mom fired him?

indeed.
Orser's phone interviews are all over the media and it's only one side of the story.
Since they are in the same club and run into very often, they should stop making things ugly and have a sincere conversation PRIVATE.

Then they were very naive to think that this was going to be private. That an Olympic gold medallist with the following she has could quietly dismiss a coach, particularly this one and keep it amongst themselves with no public statement? Very naive.

Exactly. A sports agency should know that. ATS needed to issue a simple press release on Aug. 2nd saying that Yu-na is no longer working with Brian Orser and will be training alone for now an that she thanks him for all he has done.

Orser is the one who got fired. Orser is the one whom Yu Na herself has called a liar! (How classless and ungrateful!) And turns out Orser is the one who was underpaid all this time by the richest athlete in skating history. My sympathies are with him.

But they'll both be fine in the long run. Another top coach will work with Yu Na. Orser will have massive support and other top students.
