I'll agree with you 100% without any excuses...only if you can prove the fact...Janet was indeed the highest paid female athlete at the time.
What I'm 100% sure is...You really love Janet as much as I love Yuna.
Can I prove it? Can you prove Yuna is # 5. Did Yuna fans learn a new word recently : prove?
I read the Forbes report, but I want Yuna's bank statement to prove......see how silly this can get?
Here is a quote from Wiki - but almost any good source of info about Janet mentions the contract she signed with Ice Follies which I have never heard anyone dispute before.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Lynn
"Lynn's international-level travails had not dimmed her country's affection for her. Her popularity was such that the Ice Follies offered her a three-year contract for $1,455,000, which made her the highest-paid female professional athlete of the time. She proved to be the kind of draw she was expected to be, putting the Ice Follies on a much firmer basis in its rivalry with the Ice Capades. In 1974, Janet Lynn finally took the top spot in a World competition, becoming the World Professional Champion in an event created by promoter Dick Button to showcase her."
Janet did commercials too but her contract was astounding in it's day.
