Thanks Lucky Star, for the info. Do you know the reason why Adelina withdrew? I hope it's not injury!

No, I don't know, but she trained in Novogorsk a week or so ago and was fine, I guess her coach decided to miss this event and prepare for Junior Worlds

Is the Junior World team already decided? Or partially decided? I would guess that Adelina Sotnikova, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Stolbova/Klimov and Monko/Khaliavin are guaranteed a spot...

So did her win at the JGPF and Russian Nationals garauntee her spot on the JW team? I would assume that would be the case she withdrew, unless of course she's injured which I hope not.

No, it will be decided after the competition with some exceptions like Adelina Sotnikova

She is a senior Nationals champion, I can't see her not making the team.

By the way, Sinitsina/Zhiganshin withdrew, Victoria is sick

That is so unfortunate. :( Do you know if they can still make the team? They've had such a great season, though I suppose with such competition in the ice dance field they might not.

No idea :( We will know when the team will be announced.

Thanks for all the info. I hope you are right and Adelina is not injured, and I also hope Ruslan & Victoria are considered for the JW team.

From what I read after Nationals - a short story about Zhan Bush - his 3rd place qualified him for Junior Worlds. So it is really likely that Adelina and Liza also have there places sure. But to be fair, they are the best 2 Junior Ladies there are at the moment, so it is no question if they will get a spot or not. :))

So 2 places for Men, which will likely go Dimitriev and Gorshkov - and one lady spot, with Shelepen as front runner, but also some of the other girls have the oppurtinity, Sheveleva, Agafonova, Biryukova ...

No idea about ice dance or pairs - Sorry.

I m thrilled to see Radionova competing!
How did Tarasenko do?
I hope Dimitriev wins it!

But I really want Stepanova/Bukin to move up, love their FD :o

Ladies SP
1. Elizaveta Tuktamisheva 60.96
2. Polina Shelepen 60.31
3. Rosa Sheveleva 57.30
4. Sofia Biryukova 56.99
5. Elena Radionova 54.75
6. Natalia Ogoreltseva 53.31

10. Daria Afanasieva 47.77

Polina A. and Liza at the warm up did their 3Lz-3T beautifully several times, but in the program Liza touched the ice after lutz, so no combo, and Polina fell on her lutz. I feel Liza was overscored, though her other jumps were perfect.
Polina Shelepen was the best, her only mistake was step out after 2A, but she did beautiful 3Lz-3T and 3Lo.
Rosa was elegant as always, her lutz is huge, but with turns, added 2T then. 3Lo and 2A clean.
Sofia doubled her loop, 3T-3T and 2A were clean.
Radionova was amazing! 3Lz-3T almost hit the board, so maybe UR, 3Lo, 2A and impressive spins.
Ogoretseva also rocked the house! 3Lz-2Lo, 3Lo, 2A, her spins are Lipnitskaya's quality, and this girl was born in 2000, she is the youngest, but so good already
Lipnitskaya fell on 3Lo, but landed 2A and 3T-3T
Darya Medvedeva looks much better than at St.Petesburgh cup, she wasn't ready, because she is on ice only for 1-2 mounths after injury, but she did 3Lz-tano 2T and 3Lo, fell on 2A. She is 12th with 45.68. Darya always was a good spinner, but now she spins even better
