Are you implying they were named after Maya Usova and Alexander Zhulin? I've never thought of that before..

I don't think that's likely. I've never heard of their parents being ice dancing fans, and it seems like both of them entered the sport by chance when they wanted to learn how to skate for birthday parties they said in an interview a while back.

But the idea is amusing and I've thought about it before, and you never know!

two seperate families that I know up here just had skating parties for their kids' birthdays... it does happen...
