Julia is not a judge. Because all Tech Specialists are former skaters, they go thru a quicker process to become "technical specialists" than judges do to become a judge. At this point, Julia is a level below an ISU Technical Specialist.
Thanks for the clarification.
And thank you for explaining some of the differences between technical specialists and judges. Although I know the role of the judges (obviously - to judge!), I don't really understand what exactly it is that the other officials do (maybe a good idea for a thread in the References Forum...

).
My mistake in terminology, so sorry.
CaroLiza_fan thanks for all the help with the streams! The Slovakian site is hard to figure out
Thank you so much for your kind words, SaraM!
Tell me about it! I'm having major difficulty trying to work out how watch last night's coverage of the final group of the Men's SP and Pairs SP! :disapp: (if anybody can help, I have explained my problems in post
#111)
Most of what I have been posting has been discovered through a lot of trial-and-error!
I have a few Czech friends and when I use the translator on the things they write, I would not have been able to guess that that was what they were talking about! It is just so different to English and the other languages I am somewhat familiar with - French and German.
And, from what I've picked up, Slovak is very similar to Czech. A lot of words are the same, but just spelt differently.
I can imagine how hard both languages must be to learn for a foreigner!
