I just have to say, she has amazing skin. I would love to know what her skin care regimen is cause it ain't easy getting through adolescence with flawless skin. lol.
 
She seemed to have the weight of the world lifted off of her shoulders in that first interview. I wish I already understood Russian because she seems to either be quite sarcastic or just laughs a lot at the end of her sentences. I also liked how she would interject and talk over the reporter when she felt the need.

She looks so much older than in the below pic! Wow!
Although, tbh, the more I see her off ice in "normal" clothes and situations, the more I feel like she looks less childish in general. A very pretty girl with a spunky personality. Can't wait to see where the next 4 years take her.
 
There appears to be friction amongst Yulia and a journalist. She posted this on VK today.

Reporter and journalist! They think they have the rights to abuse athlete like that? And she is just a 15 year old girl. Isn't there anything we could do, like ban these kind of reporter forever?

What the hell is he going to report if he was refused? This is not journalism, this is abuse.
Ten is right. She sure needs someone to deal with these merde.
 
Im watching the news to see if they release an article anytime soon about her. I have no idea if she is being misquoted or if there is personal information she doesn't want out. That last article I saw on RU was unsettling for me and it could be in response to that. Eteri basically had to fend off allegations that Yulia has no friends and she is dating Pitkeev. Eteri seemed upset and said Yulia only loves her mom and figure skating. She also added that Yulia is like a baby in that she still needs her mom constantly. Then the reporters seemed to criticize Yulia's mom for not working. I thought about posting it but thought my translations may be incorrect and it depressed me too.

Hopefully Yulia isn't left to fend for herself against the media but I wouldn't be surprised if she comes out on top even if she is. Eteri can downplay Yulia's independence all she wants but I think we all know that nobody is going to push this little girl around.

I'm sure Yulia will sort out any drama with reporters on her own terms. On a more positive note I've been watching footage of Yulia's record setting JWC today and thought I would share it here to lighten the mood. She absolutely bursts into joy at the end. There is no kiss-n-cry for some reason.
