If both couples skate clean V/T will win!! I don´t see anything else TBH. I really hope V/T can manage to stay away from injuries as much as possible, which is why I´m a bit sceptical to them doing all these ice shows in the spring. Alright if there aren´t many difficult elements in their programs but still.

You know, we have been laughing about what may have happened on that bear rug, and Tanya saying that their Altai rehab vacation was boring because they were the only people there, but I've been thinking that maybe she was telling the truth! This is kind of inappropriate, so I hope you'll forgive me, but didn't Max have a groin injury at that time? Perhaps that seriously limited their, um, activities....
Yeap, that was his problem, but still too much nakedness.However now I do understand if they thought it was boring if they were the only persons there (and staff from the resort?). When you´re on holiday it´s not like you stay in your hotel all the time isolated, you go out eating, to the beach or other stuff. They probably felt restless after a while.
I think this resort was rather remote in the Altai mountains (that's in Siberia). So I guess it was the hotel complex, beautiful nature, the staff, and Tanya and Max...
But something else guys.
Do you think that S/K are strong enough to beat V/T from now on?
As far as I know they've only skated clean twice and that was the Olympics (as always correct me if I'm wrong)
Their Addams Family routine was used a second year this season so it took them two years to make that a good one....
I just ask 'cause some things I read were about them running V/T up and that they won't stand a chance the next years.

I think that S/K are strong technically and that they are both really good skaters. Their new programs for next seasons will be interesting. If they skate clean and V/T are making several mistakes, of course then S/K can win. But on the other hand, S/K doesn't have this connection on the "cosmic level" that takes their skating to a higher level...

I totally agree!It's interesting to me that Max & Tanya's EX numbers are generally very lovey-dovey--like Aimer, "I will always love you," Rach 2, etc...but they haven't really done a competitive program like that...their competitive programs are more dramatic and passionate.
But now I think they should really take advantage of their chemistry--that definitely sets them apart for me! :yes:

I have to say, the "cosmic connection" must have been super strong, because he seemed to be QUITE in love with Sasha in some of those early interviews and blog posts.
For example, in this interview right after 2010 Russian Nationals, they are asked about memorable gifts they've received, and Max says his girlfriend gave him a white brick painted all over with hearts. He says he's kept it for ten years and the hearts have worn off, but his dream is for them to build a house and use this brick in the fireplace or foundation.

At the beginning, you can see that Max unzipped his shirt while he was backstage, so he has to run out and try to zip it up at the same time, so of course, Tanya has to help him...
And then around 2:35, Max makes Tanya shift over a bit so she is standing directly in front of him, in between his feet. (Always must be close!) And in general, every time they shift positions (to shake someone's hand), Max always moves so he is standing right behind Tanya again.
And at 3:50, I like how Max insists on carrying Tanya's bag for her. In general, Tanya looks so happy during the whole ceremony.

I realised how internationally this thread are.... because when I am active.... most people are not that responsive. But when I woke up the next day, a few pages sprout up filled with goodies of pics, videos and discussions!!! Hahaha...... Must be the different time zones then!

Also had not seen Max's "VLSZHR" hat before! So incredibly sweet and cute! And I must finally admit, after seeing a number of photos the last couple days of Max wearing eye makeup during some of their competitions (especially Black Swan).........I do like Max in "guy-liner"
I also loved how someone had said that Max was "showing her off" in the early days of his partnership with Tanya. Bless his heart! Just further proof of how much things improved for him when he made the switch to his current team. The post regarding what Oleg had to say about Max after V/T won Olympic gold was also further proof of what a "piece of work" Oleg truly is.
Wondering how it came about that Max was videotaped telling the story about how the administrators didn't realize who he was before the show and told him he had to buy a ticket? Did Max know he was being filmed and that it would be posted on the internet? The whole video had a strange feeling to it, like it was all staged so Max could embarrass the administrators. I have no problem with that - ha ha - it just all seemed a little strange.

Really interesting theory about Max's back tattoo, Mhelliknee! And thank you to Arawen for posting the tattoo photos, although I wonder if that is really Max in the second photo from March 2012. I realize that he's the one that posted it, but if you look closely, the guy in the photo doesn't seem to have the same back muscles as Max or seem as trim as Max, the hair looks REALLY weird, and the tattoo artist is drawing in a location on the back where Max's tattoo doesn't even go. Maybe I'm crazy, but.......
