Speaking of 2010 Nationals, I think that is when the cosmic connection really started affecting their skating.
I thought this quote from Max was quite revealing!

We were afraid about the pair spin - the last element in our program - admitted Maxim Trankov. - At the three previous tournaments we got a score of zero. In Saransk we skated very well emotionally. This helped to overcome all fears. Before the decisive moment with Tanya we stayed focused and looked into each other's eyes. Everything turned out! Someone even called our performance "Bolshoi Theatre on Ice."
Wow, they just looked each other in the eye, and everything worked fine! And you can tell at the end! I just love how Max doesn't even try stand up, he just sits down and holds Tanya super tight (around 5:25).

And then check out the slow-motion replay around 7:40--it really looks like Max kissed Tanya ever-so-briefly!

I'm so sad the video cut off so early though! They were looking so cute in the kiss&cry, with Max wrapping his arm around Tanya (already so touchy-feely!)
(What did the commentators say? All I understood was Tarasova saying 'just bravo!")
And then there is the medal ceremony. I never used to watch these before, but Max & Tanya always manage to do something funny (like Max falling on the carpet) or cute, and this time was no different!

At the beginning, you can see that Max unzipped his shirt while he was backstage, so he has to run out and try to zip it up at the same time, so of course, Tanya has to help him...
And then around 2:35, Max makes Tanya shift over a bit so she is standing directly in front of him, in between his feet. (Always must be close!) And in general, every time they shift positions (to shake someone's hand), Max always moves so he is standing right behind Tanya again.
And at 3:50, I like how Max insists on carrying Tanya's bag for her. In general, Tanya looks so happy during the whole ceremony.
And at the end, I think it's quite sweet that the coaches get prizes and flowers too. Yay for Nina Mozer and Stas!
