Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

Much more prettier with that head band. I think that must have been for publicity or something as ntk said.
Max is flying to Moscow, but I don't like a lot his comment in instagram :I
The reality is that he'll have to go on the road for almost a month again, I don't think he means Tanya. But her reaction LOL she was probably very bored without him.

Yes I know, this year is being very hard for them

Hair always looks different when you just have been to the hairdresser

Maxim being grumpy and Tanya being so happy, ever seen this before? ;) Hopefully she can cheer him up when he arrives home ;)

I don't think he'll be grumpy when he gets home  I love that she was so excited to have him back. But they seriously need one of those "imposed" vacations before starting to prep for the new season.
Yes, it definitely seems from the photos and from Tanya's photo captions that the hair-styling was a promotional thing. And did anyone else notice the GOLD-tipped tennis shoes? :)
The shoes are typical Tatiana, shining like she does, it suits her.

I think this video is from the day when they were at some other radio station looking all lovey-dovey at each other, we had photos:

I wonder who first came up with the idea that V/T should always portray a love story on the ice. Ever since their first program I think they had always had a love story routine.

From the little I have seen from S/S I have not seen them portraying love stories. May be they had, I don't know. I wonder how it worked out for them if they did.

One interesting thing I saw in the other threads here is that Vera Bazarova has found a partner and will be coached by Oleg Vassilev. More drama upcoming :).

I know I say "wow" a lot........but WOW! Thank you, Batsuchan! I had seen still photos taken from that video, but never the video itself and had wondered what it was from. Watching it almost gave me goosebumps LOL! So gorgeous and romantic! Their hands clasping together was just the best, and I agree that I wish Tanya could wear her hair that way more often on the ice.
I may have to go back and watch it again

Hehehe, I think I may have watched that All that Skate intro like ten times over the past 2 days...

Oh, and mttvonice - I forgot to mention earlier--good catch with Max's "excuse" about why he and Tanya were on vacation together! I totally missed that! It really is funny how much effort he put into hiding their relationship!

And likeladygodiva, I totally agree that none of the other pair videos had even a fraction of the same chemistry!

@ annafer - THANKS AS ALWAYS for the translation.

Yes I saw him. Somewhat quite pathetic to pretend to be Maxim if you ask me :disapp:
I mean people will see through it anyways...

This seems to be quite common though--I also follow rhythmic gymnastics, and there were at least a dozen fake Instagram and VK accounts for the 2-time Oly champion, Evgenia Kanaeva...

The one I find annoying (and a little hilarious) is that sashatrux person who keeps professing his love for Tanya... :scowl:

@ SallyTeoh - Thanks for the GPF EX clip! I know Tanya likes the back-less dresses with a long skirt, and they do look AMAZING on her! The hand-holding is super sweet!

Wow, she got him very ... hot and bothered from the start of the program.

How about this one... from Sep. 2011. Keeping track of that all important timeline

The choreography is really their "Opyat Metel" program set to different music, but I don't mind! Give them any super-romantic piece, and they can skate any choreography to it because they have the chemistry!

In the same way, this 2 cellos EX is really their 2012-13 FS choreo, but somehow, it looks like it was choreographed to that music!

Actually--I mentioned this earlier--but to me, V&T's competitive programs are usually more dramatic/passionate/angst-filled, while their EX's are very romantic and lovey-dovey (like Aimer!). I really would like to see them do something really soft and lyrical and romantic in a competitive program, because I think they could do it better than anyone else!

For example, imagine if they skated to "Sleeping Beauty"--they could open with the moment where Prince Maxim kisses Princess Tatiana, and then they have a wedding dance...there's lots of beautiful music from the ballet to use:

And of course I'd love to see Tanya in another lovely white dress (and I'm sure Max would agree)!

Though, then again, two other songs I would really like them to skate to are more of the sad/dramatic but very beautiful type... ;)

I saw the news about Bazarova and Andrei Deputat...pairs will definitely be interesting next season with all the new couples!

ETA I wish we weren't limited to only 5 smileys per post! This is really cramping my style...LOL.

I don't have any videos to share today, but there is an interview I found really interesting--with Tanya's former coach (back when she was skating in Ukraine)--Galina Kukhar.
http://www.sport-express.ua/ourinte...ar-napishet-knigu-kak-priruchit-partnera.html

Translation by TAHbKA on FSUniverse:

She says some interesting things about how she didn't expect Tanya to be such a fighter, but my favorite quote is this one:
If I was asked for an advice I'd say all the girls should follow Volosozhar's steps: if you want to be the leader in your pair do it patiently and without sticking out. Perhaps Tanya will write a book `how to tame a partner' one day.

Tanya certainly has Max wrapped around her little finger!

Wow, thank you for the link to the interview. It is very informative. My respect for Stas grew even more from it. Also it seems Tania tamed two partners, not only Max. But she does it through so much care and love, that they are happy to be tamed. :)

When I first saw her at the Olympics I knew she was a strong willed woman, so when I started reading others saying she was soft, I was unbelieving at first. But I guess she could be both soft and strong and so many other things as well. More power to her!

Thanks Batsuchan for the interview!!! I really enjoy the read! I was surprise to see a different side of Tati! Indeed.... She is able to tame any partner that comes her way.... Haha.... Maybe that's why Stas recommended Max and Tati is confident to try out with Max in the beginning.... Hahaha.....

Joke aside, I'm really happy to read that Tati is a strong women yet have her soft side.... When the coach said you can't find her tears during kiss and cry, and she will fall apart when no one else sees.... My heart ached for her.... Hopefully there is always someone there to comfort her when she can't contain her emotions (of course we hope that that person would always be Max, and that he will be sensitive enough to be strong for her instead of adding more emotions....)

Thank you for all the videos and the interview! To me Tanya always seemed like a strong person and also intelligent because she knows that in their pair she has to be the tough one even though maybe sometimes she would like to cry in the kiss&cry, but we have Maxim who is displaying his emotions for both of them so she has to be the encouraging one who smiles.

I really admire her a lot, because she's strong and soft at the same time as you guys said, but also is such a cheerful and funny person. I will say it again, Maxim hit the jackpot with her. Well, the vice versa is also true, she was also lucky to get someone like Max, an amazing person.

I think in a way Tanya has to be the strong part of the team. I mean can you imagine how devastated Max would be if Tanya would cry on the ice too.
He'd completely fall apart. The Eurosport commentator said that after the GPF 2012 you could very much see who's the composed one and the leader of the team. Somewhat I do believe they all admire her for being so strong and at the same time so soft in handling Maxim when he's down.

Well as far as we concluded that would be just before Maxim broke up with Sasha so they probably already acted on their feelings there

I would just really really love to see them skate a romantic competitive program.
The components aside from their technical score would probably be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo high 'cause they wouldn't need to act anything
BTW I love the music of "Beauty and the Beast" very much. (Back to the Disney movies again)

From the little I have seen from S/S I have not seen them portraying love stories. May be they had, I don't know. I wonder how it worked out for them if they did.

That's something the sports psychologist of one of our sports channels said during the Olympics.
They seem to be close but not very deep. Somewhat I didn't find their Nutcracker performance convincing in any way.
That was the only "romantic" piece they had I believe. And in their galas I don't really buy their so called affection as well.

Pheww quite the long text. But school's been really busy today.

At the Olympics, we saw that very thing. Very emotional Max in the kiss & cry while Tanya is calm with no tears, then she finally breaks down backstage in the press area. Hmmmm, well maybe she did shed a few Olympic Gold tears on the ice, but THEN she calmed down for the cameras in kiss & cry - LOL. And by all accounts, she really is one to be admired for her character and temperament. Of course, it goes without saying that I think she's one lucky girl to have Max ;)

Oh Batsuchan, I feel exactly the same about the "5 smiley limit" cramping my style!!! You should see my texts to friends and family where there is NO EMOTICON LIMIT  And yes, I have also watched the All That Skate intro, uh........more than a few times. It needs to be a Vine video
