2025 JGP Bangkok Pairs Free Skate

Kids do not scare me in the lifts

I would like to see these two take some ice dance lessons to strengthen their footwork and give them stability, flow in and out of the elements and during the lifts.

Hey dear judges, just because this is a lower-placed team with issues on some elements does not mean you can't give high GOE on the elements they did well (especially the ChSq1). Choreographically, this is a very good program, super interesting to watch. The lifts need a little more work, but I'm sure they know that.

I loved this programme at the Robin Cousins Trophy.

Lovely Double Twist Lift to start with.

Double Salchow

Lift was great, but dismount not.

Not best landing on Throw Triple Loop.

Back Outside Death Spiral good.

Alex looks like running out of steam on Reverse Lasso Lift.

Although there were no real issues for the rest of the programme, you can see he is running on empty.

Coming off the ice, it is obvious that they are both exhausted.

Zoe is the only one smiling in the results area. The other two are too tired!

:cheer: HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY ON SUNDAY TO ZARAH AND ZINIA!!! :cheer:

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

They go into the lead of both FS and overall. Zarah is not impressed with the scores.

:cheer: WELL DONE ZARAH AND ALEX!!! :cheer:

Johanka ZILKOVA / Matyas Rafael BECERRA CZE. I really liked these two in the short program. He is such a strong partner and she has cat-feet on her jumps. The death spiral needs more arch and closeness to the ice - score =0. Oh no another lift down. This is a strong team that skates well and I can see a nice future for them. Lose the dark music. Nice debut for a new team really great throw.

Super promising team, they have really nice skating skills for a pairs team. Some mistakes, yes, but good technique on everything. The throws were huge and so good.

Another cover I don't like. If that continues I'm going to mute the stream

Mujun HU / Zexuan WANG CHN. Little sister has to work hard to keep up with big brother. She is a strong little miss though, but on the solo jumps they are in their own orbits. Their pair elements are quite nice and will give them good points.

Doing back-to-back events isn't easy, so it's admirable how they conducted themselves. They will look like a completely different team next season, after a year together, because the technique is there for triple throws and higher lift levels. A very sweet team :)

Imagine this: "ABBA - The Opera!" 🙉

No. Just No.

You do not mess with ABBA.

Plus, apart from anything else, I always think skating to "The WInner Takes It All" is tempting fate. And Rinky doesn't need tempting.

All that said, the skating wasn't bad.

And although I wouldn't be fussed on the design of the costumes, it is a nice colour of purple.

They go into the lead of both FS and overall.
