Kim, who won a gold medal at the ISU Grand Prix Final in St. Petersburg last week, worked in Toronto for three months last summer, having her programs choreographed by David Wilson and being coached by Orser and Tracy Wilson. Orser described Kim at the time as “the most talented skater I have ever worked with.”

Kim’s mother, Park Mi-hee expressed some concern about her 16 year-old child relocating so far from home but has accepted the fact that this is the right move for her daughter. “We decided she would benefit from training in Canada, so she’ll be there most of next year,’’ Park told the Korean press.

“We chose to train in Canada because we believe it will produce as similar an effect as studying abroad,’’ said Park.

I wish her luck and hopefully she doesn't get homesick or distracted. I love her skating.
