Yu-na looks very strong with her jumps. Her costume makes her look really tall and dignified.

Tough judging? I don't know.

Rachel Flatt's flutzing was really obvious and her second jump in 3-3 combo appeared to be under-rotated. Her artistry is work in progress.

Miki just fell while skating to get off the ice at the end of warm up. She seem ok though.

Nagasu

Chaplin music?

3 Lutz - two footed - was that supposed to be the combo?
3 Fflip - 2 toe - clean- improvised?
flying spin - fast!
2 axel - scrappy landing
spiral - great stretch
footwork - good
layback - fast
combo- fast

Like the program! Wonder if she had to improvise becuase it looked like the lutz was supposed to be the combo.

1st? Really?

Mirai skating more nervous and cautious than usual.

Double-footed the 3Z (maybe UR too, not sure). Clever 3F-2T to retain the combo. Another pearl! The pearl is going to become the new Bielmann, every girl's gotta have it now. :p

She seems truly happy with her score, though, good attitude.

Apart from the fall on the flip, Kimmie looks alot stronger then last year. Happier to. A respectable skate from her.

3 Lutz - 2 toe - ok
3 flip - Fall
flying spin ok
2 axel - good
layback - ok
combo spin -ok
Spiral - ok
footwork - good choreography but not good enough execution to match it

Improved maturity and less frantic, but final footwork needs more to sell it as a final element.

54.90? Wow, what happened with Flatt's score?

Wow, Kimmie improved a lot in her carriage, presentation, great fast spins, much higher 2A. Too bad about the 3F. But it might not hurt her too, too much, if it wasn't UR'ed. Shoot, it might be downgraded on review, plus it's definitely a lip.

I'm all about being clever and making the Flip a combo.

But shouldn't skaters get dinged for not doing one of the required elements:

Footwork in a Triple Jump?? Because that T.Lutz had no footwork into it...

Nakano

3 Flip -2 toe good
3 Lutz - only a double with weak landing
layback - fast
spiral - nice presentation
2 axel directly out of spiral
combo spin - fast
footwork - again nice expression
flying spin - fast catch foot!

Nice skate. Good expression. Who knows what the score will be.

57.46? Alrighty.

I love Yukari's choreography, beautiful. What nice spins as usual!

The 3F (wrapped) maybe wasn't downgraded, but it would've gotten -GOE. Still, good enough to go in first. Go Yukari!
