Walpurgis Night by Gounod, I think

Coach: Joannie MacLeod/Tarasova

Not a good day. Two bad falls landing on his back and a step out. Plus he has to do it dressed in a black suit with a tree branch over a blue sky picture on the front and a huge amount of blue toilet paper stuck to his arm, and a meaningless red glove. This boy rotates fast in the air, but the edging into the jumps isn't good, really. Should be behind the rest in this last group.

demand a refund from Tarasova, especially for the costume

Into 9th place

Thanks for the fantastic PBP, Doris!:clap::clap:

And congrats to Rippon, the first ever defending World Junior Champion (I think - normally they just don't come back after getting the title once). Good for him, getting that 3A clean - twice in the program.

Next year we'll have Rippon with David Wilson choreography...

While Rippon is better now with Orser, I still believe Brezina to be the better skater. Michal was a bit cautious which is not like him but there is more to come from him in future. Amazing both these boys were early picks( years ago) of mine when no one was talking about them.

Keep your eyes open for Coupfal, Raya and Hanyu if they are still eligible for Jr. Worlds.

And Chao Yang is very special. Nice having a good Chinese single around.

This was one great competition

Congrats to Adam Rippon who went from 0 triple axels in FS last year, to 2 this year.
And congrats to Brezina and Grigoriev (who now looks like young Yagudin )

But the most priceless part of all was seeing Yuzuru Hanyu on Eurosport. Way to go, Yuzu-chan! :agree:

Congrats to all the medalists! I'm looking forward to seeing Adam next season with Wilson choreography. I am also a big fan of Michal Brezina. He definitely has a lot of potential. I actually like his style and skating better than Tomas Verner.

Coufal will be back, too. He celebrated his 14th birthday this week.

Raya has one more year of Junior eligibility.

JW 2009 was Chao Yang's last Junior event---he turned 19 on July 26, 2008.

Well, I hope we see the chinese guy again sometime. Because with those Chinese guys there are new ones every year in juniors - what happened to the guy who won Bronze last year? The only name I really remember and connect to something is Chengjiang Li, that guys keeps coming back. But the rest...
