The judges are brutal! Level 1 spin all -3 GOE!
It's hard to watch stuff like that, but I appreciate skating federations like Ireland & Argentina who are attempting to build their their programs from the ground up. Cristina Lin appears be from Buenos Aires & train in Buenos Aires. There's no other way for a nation with absolutely NO skating history to build a program than to get their skaters exposed to the best of their level. The skaters & coaches can gain a lot from attending these competitions, and I'm glad that their federations are willing to send them.
I love skaters from non-traditional powers. It's what I first liked about Yuna Kim.
I hope the skaters learn a lot from this experience... and in my secret heart I always hope some kind coach or better skater will give them a few tips. I don't know if that happens in the real world. But I hope it does.
