Unrelated secondary comment, now that the scope of the thread has inevitably expanded beyond skaters for the U.S.:
Has Caits Yankowskas been mentioned yet?

no, don't think so. too much make up though

Come to think of it, on the subject of US pair skaters...

Jill Trenary was gorgeous. And I thought AP McDonough was stunning, it's just you never noticed her face when she was in those Julie Creations.

She looks like Cindy Lauper ;)

only way prettier ;)
I don't think there has been this perfect quintessential American figure skater as Gracie
an endorsement's dream,

blonde, wholesome, good family background and a mixture of classical Grace Kelly and Hollywood look

Depending on the angle I liked Nicole Bobeck. But again: depending on angle...
Not depending on an angle: Dorothy Hamill in the 70s. But again: in the 70s....
Not depending on anything: Alissa Czisny.

Please do not even go there... Gracie's pretty but she can't even hold a flicker of a candle to somebody as timeless as Grace Kelly. I would do a side by side picture comparison but such a juxtaposition is simply hugely unfair to Gracie and insulting to Grace.

I'm going to say something really, really crazy. Back when they were competing together, I actually think Tonya Harding--if we eliminate her awful costumes--was every bit as pretty as Nancy Kerrigan.

Neither of them would make my "top female skater beauties" list. But I thought it was worth pointing out, that perhaps personality/story/packaging/skating style really helps when it comes to how people perceive your beauty.

I agree! I always though Tonya had such a lovely smile. One of my favorite pictures to this day is the one of her smiling so huge after she landed her first triple axel.
