Hey malif

Since you've admitted that you don't know them, I'll give you a wee pointer. Nicole Orford / Thomas Williams are actually pretty good (currently 15th in the World Rankings). So, personally, I would put them higher than 6th. (Incidentally, I've never heard tell of Paradis / Ouelettte either!)


As for my own predictions, I'm going to wait until a day or 2 before the competition starts to make them. I just prefer to wait in case there are any last minute withdrawals.

But, put it like this, I can already safely tell you that there will be no surprises as to who I am going to put as my Number 1 in the ladies...

To say the truth, I adore French language and French names, this is why I'd put Paradis higher. Not very convincing argument ...

This is so exciting! I only recently discovered GoldenSkate and am excited to be a part of the predictions game! I have spent considerable thought and research into this, but when it comes down to it there are so many unknowns. I've tried to calculate in personal best scores, any competitions already this season, and general consistency, among other factors. Well, we'll see if it works!

Skate America Predictions

Men- One of the hardest to predict as so many of the competitors are so inconsistent! But here goes nothing:

I have a screw in my foot since I broke it last season and now it has started to hurt again. I thought that I would get better in time for this competition but I can still only jump 3Lo and 3s on the ice. I have consulted with doctors and physios and we have decided to take the screw out. I will go in to surgery on Monday, and I will hopefully be able to practise again in 3 weeks.

Ouch! I have a metal plate/screws in my wrist after breaking it a few years ago and one of my screws likes to wander, but I don't have to walk or jump on it. Best wishes for a quick recovery.
