Yikes at Amelia Jackson going literally straight from the Bavarian Open (26-31 January) to this (30 January-4 February). Hope she makes it through without exhausting herself!

And Chantelle and Andrew going straight from 4CC! I bet they're hoping for the Worlds minimums...

The men SP has just ended: Daniel Grassl is in the lead.
His score was 69 (TES 40 PCS 30 - 1).

Grassl attempted the 4Lz but he fell. The tech specialist called it under but I am not sure this call was right...
The 3a was flawless.

This guy is promising; at the beginning of the season he did not even have a 3a: now he has both a 3a and a quad Lutz..

Yesterday Arkhipova attempted a 3Lutz-3T combination in the LP. She landed it but the 3T was clearly ur.
She also landed easily a 2a-1/2L-3S in the second half of the program.

The young skater managed to land 7 triples in the LP!

She won the competition with a total score of ~140 (20 points higher than the second placed skater's score)

I'm just tangentially following this at work but have to say I quite like ORIHARA / MORI's costumes. Black, yes, but sparkly!

not sure why he does 3Lz-3T as his triple triple
if his 4Lz were to get downgraded then wouldn't the 3Lz be a repeat and get less or no credit?

A downgraded 4Lz still appears as a 4Lz in the protocols. But if he pops the 4Lz into a 3Lz, he's toast.

I too was not sure but I checked frame by frame and I have to say that the call is right.

and a quad Flip...

Never seen Daniel popping a jump.

Kerry/Dodds and Tankova/Zilberberg achieved the minimum SD TES for Worlds

They both need the FD too but they have a good chance tomorrow given than the panel seems quite generous and SD minimum is usually a bit harder to get

So did Markova/Daze and they already have the points in the long from competitions in November and December.
