2017 South Korean Nationals, 6-8th Jan.

I'm so heartbroken by the news that Soyoun is injured. It's so unlucky, she just set her new personal bests and was showing very promising improvements... i just wanna cry. I wish her a speedy recovery and I still hope she will be able to skate at 4CC as I'm also going and it wouldn't be the same without her for me.

Part of the event will be aired live by KBS and Minjeong Kwak will make her debut as a commentator! That's quite awesome and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Obviously it would be 100 times better to see the event live, but I was always rather annoyed by the Korean commentators, so I'm quite happy with this change! I hope she can bring something new and fresh to the commentary!

I love Soyoun and I'm still heartbroken for her :( And maybe I sound greedy but I'm upset because I really want 2 Korean ladies on Olympics but sadly Soyoun seemed like only possible candidate for TOP10 on Worlds. I will cheer for anyone like always, of course.

Same...:cry: This is terrible timing for her...

I'm really hoping that whoever wins Nationals and goes to Worlds will somehow make the top 10. I feel bad that my secret evil side is wanting some other skaters to mess up badly at Worlds :devil:
 
this competition will also serve as the selection for junior world, i think the choices will be eun soo, ye lim, and hanul? for a moment i thought young would qualify but i remember she's 12.. :palmf:

At least, next season she will be. If everything goes well for her, of course. I look forward to it. Something else to look forward to aside the fact for my fav to shine at the Olympics.

I just watched Young FS run through and she had a random fall outside her jumps. Such things happen, of course, but I was wondering if anyone here know the state of the ice rink? Good ice, standard ice, etc... generally the Korean ice rinks are ok? I know Japanese are good and French are bad.

But they are saying that ice seems like quite good, and the rink is warm~ Overall the rink seems nice. Good to see PC olympics preparation goes well..
