*WARNING: serious gushing follows*
I'm totally in awe of their collaboration together. It far exceeded my expectation. Jeremy moves with such freedom and musicality in this program. And I seriously never would've thought Shae-Lynn had this much innovation and an understanding for the music in her just by watching her as an ice dancer. Bravo!![]()
I just hope that his Triple Axel survives the entire season this time, not just the first half. His jumps look really good. I just hope that the program looks a little more unique as it develops over the season.
Seen in posts by Nmsis over on FSU and Passion Patinage: L'Equipe reported today that Brian Joubert's LP music is Ancient Lands by Ronan Hardiman (a.k.a part of Yagudin's Overcome).
I was certainly hoping for something else. :frown2: But maybe it'll still turn out ok? I guess we'll find out soon.
ETA: I looked it up, and it's less than four minutes, so there must be something else besides in the program. I wonder what.
Yes, I forgot to mention that Nmsis wrote it was in the print edition.Thanks. I checked it out, and there's nothing about the music on L'Equipe's website, but maybe Nemsis read it in the newspaper.
Me too! The music could work with the right choreo, and I'm really curious as to what Albena and Maxim came up with.I agree, it wasn't what I was hoping for (that would be "All for You" :agree, but I'm listening to it right now and I think it's really nice music, and that it would suite Brian.
ETA: Music choices for all the French skaters appear in the FFSG 2009-10 media guide.
Isn't this the same version Michelle used? and something makes me think that I heard this music last season. Not really a fan of all the pushing the hands through the hair. I don't feel blown away as I thought I would. Love the circular step sequence. His jumps look really good. I just hope that the program looks a little more unique as it develops over the season.
And the guide says "Ancient land" Maxime Rodriguez. Should be another piece than "Ancient lands" by Ronan Hardiman?
Well, Maxim Rodriguez usually plays and revisits pieces of music that already exist.

Evan doing Swan Lake? Come on, you gotta be kidding.Actually, it is a bit less of of a warhorse than I'd expected (was expecting Swan Lake or something similar) but still completely unoriginal.
The Nutcracker, then. Something done to death was the point I was aiming atEvan doing Swan Lake? Come on, you gotta be kidding.
. I could do a much better job of picking Evan's music than Carroll and Nichol, but I guess that's not saying much.
