2010 Olympics - Maybe Threatened....

Forget Terrorists or Security problems at the Vancouver 2010 Games. Mother nature herself could shut the whole thing down. The infamous Sea-to-Sky highway which connects Vancouver and Whistler where most of the events are being held is undergoing major construction, but at the same time mother nature is making sure rock slides prevent traffic from getting through. Also a huge semi overturned last week causing a horrible traffic jam for hours. They had to shut down part of the high way yesterday for seven hours. By coincidence the VANOC and IOC were holding a meeting as they were over here checking up on our progress - especially with the sea-to-sky. Well let's hope the games are on.

Perhaps the construction is in preparation for the Olympics? I remember at SLC Nationals in 99 that whole darn city was under construction and especially the highways, everyone said it was in preparation for the Olympics.
