2025 JGP Ankara Rhythm Dance

They're a fun team, and have definitely improved. Levels will keep them a bit lower than they might have hoped for, but not a bad score.

{Mark, please do not say 'home crowd' given the size of the audience}

Plus neither of them are from anywhere near Ankara. Irmak is from the Aegean coast, and Danil is from Kazakhstan. So this hardly qualifies as a "home" event for them.

I absolutely loved everything about that. And I absolutely love them.

That dress looks amazing on Irmak. :love:

They go into 5th position.

Nah, Eurodance is fun when you forget yourself for a second. But I also enjoy the cringe-to-bad fest that is Eurovision :D
i love Eurovision as you well know, because it's trashy and funny. i love 80s disco and trashy stuff, but 90s club music (that you call eurodance) lacks of something...maybe because it's mostly repetitive and kind of artificial?

I partly blame this "high energy" requirement for the repetitive and non-ispiring choices. There were so many good pop songs in the 90s but they may not be labeled as high energy.
So much great rock too... And so much electronic music, although most of it was probably labelled "techno" at the time. I'm surprised no one is using that, it fits the high-energy requirement. Give me the Faithless and the Prodigy, give me the Darude, give me the Sash!

Backstreet Boys is so damn unimaginative...

i think i remember someone has Prodigy, but take it with a grain of salt my memory is terrible. as far as i know no one has picked Take That, Verve or Blur or Oasis, which is even weirder since they're having a reunion

I think I have seen Take That somewhere, but I've been looking through sooo many bios recently (as everyone might have noticed 😅 ) so I can't for the life of me remember who it was

This is another one of those songs that can be borderline depending on which definition of "the 90's" you use. 1990 to 1999, or 1991 to 2000.

The album it was on was released in 1999, but the single wasn't released until 2000.

Personally, I wouldn't have thought it was that long ago! Mind you, I remember being at school at the time, and being convinced that "Ain't It Funny" (which was on the same album) was about how I felt about the girl I fancied at the time.

Anyway, Sarah MARCILLY VAZQUEZ / Jolan ENGEL (ESP) go into 10th position.

I could not put Charlie & Cayden in my predictions as I have never seen them before. All I know is that they are Scott Moir's team.

as far as i can remember there's no late 90s either, no grunge, no punk and no Cranberries
