2014 Finlandia Trophy

Woah! I thought bronze was well within reach for Petrov - but 2nd place?! (Obviously the free is yet to come, and I'm not counting any chickens - especially, as Chris Howarth said "The long program is another beast" - but even being 2nd after the SP.... did not see that coming!)

I would've put Petrov 1st myself. And as much as I love Adam, I'd have him behind Misha. Whom I also love :D

Poor Adam, had he went for a 3T, he could have been placed higher. Quad isn't something he's really good at.

Wow! Really? You don't know how much your saying that warms my heart. :)

(He's my new Favourite of the year - as I said elsewhere, I accumulate Favourites; I don't replace! :) I happened to watch his first JGP - on a pure whim. I don't follow juniors, but I thought, what the heck, there's a live stream on, why not watch junior men? - And he just... clicked for me!)

Looks like he meant to do 4T-3T but the first jump popped. Had he done that he would have been 80+.

That makes sense. If he had meant to do a triple-triple only, he'd probably have gone for something a bit harder than a 3T-3T.

Not sure why Adam continues to try to put a quad in his SP. He has worked on 4Lz and 4T. And neither seems to be a successful element for him; his 3A was not executed solidly either. :-(

His 3As have always been a problem for him, I believe.

I do wonder how his quads are in practice? If he lands them there, it might be a mental thing in competition. And maybe going back-and-forth between the 4Lz and 4T was not a good idea- maybe he should stick with one, until it.... well.... sticks. :) (Yeah, sorry about that! ;) )

Because I hear that in order to be competitive, a man has to have a quad in the short and 2 in the long...

Already posted this in the For Sale section, but I'll just put it here as well.
I have a second ticket for tomorrow that my friend won't be using, so I'll give it away for free. Last minute offer, but if anybody is interested, just send me a PM :)

I am not watching the event live but looking at live results page, ladies had a lot of deductions today. Only three ladies (Cesario, Halvin and Ieva Gaile) have no deductions.

Excited for Lizaaa!!!
