Edmunds got a bonus in PCS for being #2 in US nationals. There is no way her PCS marks should be that close to Osmond. Yes she should be in first but she sould have been a couple points lower in PCS. Guess the US knew what they were doign when they placed her 2nd at nationals. It has worked in the past and still works. When you place a lower ranked skater above a top international skater (Ashley) at Nationals the lower ranked skater all of a sudden it taken more seriously.

She was ranked higher because she skated better.

What do people not understand about that...? Ashley moves across the ice like a glacier. Polina is exciting to watch, graceful, and athletic.

Wow, great job Polina! Despite all the fuss at US Nationals, this is my first time seeing her skate and she's so cute! I personally thought her 3/3 could have squeaked by without a UR. Sounds like she had a rough practice yesterday so it's so great to see her pull it together in front of the judges. Way to represent yourself and USA!!
